What I Thought of The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes
Last month, Suzanne Collins published a prequel to The Hunger Games. I was very excited because I absolutely loved The Hunger Games series. I was also not sure what I would think of it because I don't generally care for prequels that much. My aunt sent it to me on the day it came out and I started reading it shortly after. I think it started off a bit slow, but I got into it quickly.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is about Coriolanus (later President) Snow's early life and the 10th annual Hunger Games. He is chosen to mentor the girl from District 12. It was really interesting to find out the origin of The Hunger Games and why it was created. I'm not going to give any spoilers, but there were a lot of surprises and twists I didn't see coming, which is a good thing for a book! Overall, I would rate the book⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
