Film Review: The Bookshop *SPOILERS*

WARNING: *SPOILERS AHEAD*

The Bookshop is about a young woman whose husband died. She moves to a small coastal town in England and opens a bookshop, despite many people trying to stop her. It's a pretty slow-moving movie, but I really liked where it was going. Until I realized that with only a few minutes left of the movie, there wasn't really a resolution to the story. It had a pretty sad ending, where her bookshop burns and she leaves the town. I thought the actors were really good, with Emily Mortimer as the protagonist. I also liked the setting and her friendship with an old man. I think the movie could've been really good if they resolved the story. I rate it ⭐️⭐️⭐️.

  1. Magdelana,

I have not heard of this movie. Judging by your review, I think I'd come to the same conclusion. I prefer movies that have resolutions--but still wishing the movie could go on. Thank you for the heads-up.
